The Origin of Our Products

Very early in the program we faced our biggest challenge. Guardians would not allow their children to attend school on a regular basis because they were economically dependent on them.

We had to ?nd a way for our students to make an earning for themselves so that they could continue providing for their families while they were getting an education. So we decided to create a product line of cards & stationary for sale.


The Nature of Our Products

Each StreetWise product for sale has one thing in common, whether a T-shirt, a poster or a lamp, it bears a reproduction of our students’ artwork from art class. The reason behind our choice of producing ‘printed artwork’ is that it can be reproduced in large numbers.

Income as a By-product, Not at the Expense of Education

Instead of each child having to spend endless hours creating a handful of art products, the print reproductions maximize the value of each piece of art. The time saved, and the supplemental return in funds, not only allows the students to get an education, it enables them to provide for their families and generate income for running the school. All this, simply as a by-product of art class. StreetWise makes sure that its students’ first priority is getting an education.

StreetWise Retail Outlets

The sales of StreetWise products are the prime solution that keep our children off the streets and in school. We began selling our products locally through word of mouth and are now partnering up with philanthropic organizations who are carrying our products free of commission as a way to give back to the community. Our products are currently on sale at:

StreetWise is looking to secure more retail corners in already existing shops and forge new partnerships with philanthropic businesses and organizations willing to support our cause and help us raise money. Our objective is to involve as many existing retail spaces to carry our products as a social service and for the betterment of our communities.
